Born  Pesaro - Italy. Matteo Simoncelli, I attended the artistic high school Mengaroni, specializing in photography and visual languages. I subsequently earned a three-year certification in new media photography from the CFP. BAUER in Milan.I have collaborated with several photographers as an assistant on productions for advertising campaigns, interior furnishings, and architecture.As a freelancer, I worked on the 2019/2020 campaign for Arena Water Instinct. My areas of expertise include portraiture, reportage, architecture, and research photography. My approach to photography is informed by my passion and studies in cinematography, drawing inspiration from renowned directors such as Denis Villeneuve, Paolo Sorrentino, Ari Aster, Gus van Sant, the Coen brothers, and Andrej Tarkovsky, as well as photographers like Gregory Crewdson and Alec Soth. As I delved deeper into the field, I became increasingly fascinated by the profound impact that colors and compositions in a scene can have on establishing the overall mood of a film. This led to a desire to experiment with new methods of storytelling through color and framing.The approach I take to depict a place or the people in it involves walking and exploring, trying to understand and convey what I observe.
